§ Mr. Hunterasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will estimate the overall anticipated financial cost to the Nature Conservancy Council of concluding those management agreements which the council is currently negotiating in order to protect sites of special scientific interest under section 28 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe latest estimate by the NCC of the overall cost of concluding those management agreements it is currently negotiating comprises capital sums and arrears of periodical payments totalling £1,071,000 together with annual payments of £774,000.
