§ 18. Mr. Beithasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he intends any changes in the enforcement of fisheries conservation measures other than those relating to salmon and migratory trout following the judgment in the High Court in the case of Champion versus Maughan and Groves.
§ Mr. MacGregorI understand that it is most unlikely that water authorities will make use of the judgment in prosecuting those fishing for sea fish unless there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that fixed engines have been placed with the intention of taking salmon or migratory trout.
