§ 36. Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what measures his Department has taken to assist small businesses in the development of marketable products arising from the application of new technology.
§ Mr. TrippierMy Department operates a number of schemes which can assist small firms in this way. These include the innovation linked investment scheme and the assistance provided under the support for innovation programme.
Other measures which have similarly benefited small firms were the small engineering firms investment schemes and the computer-aided design test and equipment support scheme.
