HC Deb 02 May 1984 vol 59 c167W
Mr. Leighton

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what current skill shortages he has presently identified in the economy.

Mr. Peter Morrison

The available evidence does not suggest that there are currently any widespread skill shortages, although there are indications that for certain specific and relatively high level skills, particularly in the fields of electronic engineering and computers, the labour market is tightening.
