Mr. Janner

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether, in light of the consultative document issued by the Health and Safety Commission, entitled "Proposals for Revised Arrangements for Reporting Accidents, Ill Health and Dangerous Occurrences at Work," he will now introduce revised arrangements for the reporting of accidents.

I understand that following the many responses to the consultative document issued in July 1983, the Health and Safety Commission will shortly be considering revised proposals for new regulations.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) how many prosecutions of companies, directors, managers, secretaries and other individuals, respectively, have been instituted under section 2 of the Health and Safery at Work etc. Act 1974; how many, and what percentage of such prosecutions were successfull; and how many, and what percentage failed;

(2) how many prosecutions of companies, directors, managers, secretaries and other individuals, respectively, have been instituted under section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974; how many, and what percentage of such prosecutions were successful; and how many, and what percentage failed;

(3) how many prosecutions of companies, directors, managers, secretaries and other individuals, respectively, have been instituted under section 4 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974; how many, and what percentage of such prosecutions were successful; and how many, and what percentage failed;

(4) how many prosecutions of companies, directors, managers, secretaries and other individuals, respectively, have been instituted under section 6 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974; how many, and what percentage of such prosecutions were successful; and how many, and what percentage failed;

(5) how many prosecutions of companies, directors, managers, secretaries and other individuals, respectively,
