§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how 1984 Budget changes will affect the average amount of benefits received by widows aged 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 years, respectively.
§ Mr. Moore[pursuant to his reply, 30 April 1984, c. 22]: I am not sure what the hon. Member has in mind. No changes to widows' or other social security benefits were announced in the budget. Details of the November uprating of benefits will be announced in June, when the May figure for the RPI is known.
