§ Mrs. FennerIn 1982 the European Community paid grants totalling £21 million under restructuring regulations designed to reduce the surplus of table wine. These comprised £13 million for the abandonment: of vine growing, and £8 million for reorganisation of vineyards so as to increase the quality of their wine.
