HC Deb 30 March 1984 vol 57 cc347-8W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what were the findings of the Property Services Agency's studies of land usage at Woolwich arsenal, west and the possible construction of a new headquarters building for the quality assurance directorate (ordnance); and what decisions have been taken as a result of the report's recommendations.

Mr. Lee

My predecessor set out the main facts in his reply of 12 July 1983, at column 307, including the need for a pause to take account of a proposal to rationalise the procurement executive's quality assurance services. This proposal is now being implemented. The accommodation consequences are being studied and will be discussed with the trade union side before decisions are taken.
