Mr. Chris Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list separately the value of Exchequer subsidies and rate fund contributions per local authority dwelling for the years 1978–79 to 1983–84, and estimated for 1984–85, together with the number of local authority dwellings on which these figures are based.

Based on local authority returns made to the Welsh Office, the information is estimated to be as follows:
