HC Deb 29 March 1984 vol 57 c295W
Dr. Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will commission research to establish the levels of any radioactivity in household dust in Cumbria in the vicinity of the British Nuclear Fuels Ltd. plant at Sellafield.

Mr. Waldegrave

My Department has today let a contract to Imperial college, London, to establish the levels of any radioactivity in household dust in this area. The National Radiological Protection Board will advise Imperial college on the radiological significance of any radioactivity found. The full results of the survey should be available by August 1985.
