asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much pigmeat was imported into the United Kingdom from Hungary in each of the last three years; and what the expected figures are for the current year.

Mr. MacGregor

There were no imports of pigmeat from Hungary recorded in 1981 and 1982. Imports in 1983 totalled 38 tonnes. Imports in 1984 are expected to be minimal.
