asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many nature conservation orders have been implemented under section 29 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act; and if he will give details of the sites affected by any such orders, and the nature of the damaging operations which were halted.

Since section 29 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act came into force five nature conservation orders have been made in England and one in Scotland. The details are as follows:

My right hon. friend has no plans at present to extend the homes insulation scheme to cover cavity wall insulation. He does, however, keep the scheme under review in relation to the various types of insulation.
