Mr. Amess

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many nature conservation review sites are still awaiting renotification under the Wildlife and Countryside Act; and if he will give details of each site.

I am advised by the Nature Conservancy council that there are some 790 nature conservation review sites. Of these 511 remain to be renotified. Details of individual sites could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
