§ Mrs. FennerIn November 1983, we announced substantially increased grants to improve the use of energy in the glasshouse sector. Since 1979 the Government have also provided launching aid for the kingdom scheme, introduced orchard replanting grants and paid glasshouse growers the maximum help towards fuel costs which was permitted by European Community guidelines. In addition, help continues to be available through capital grants schemes, the funding of a comprehensive programme of research and development, and the full repayment of excise duty on glasshouse heating oil.
