The therapeutic facility at Grendon is a very valuable resource in the prison system, and the Government are determined that its important role should be enhanced and strengthened. I have therefore decided to take this opportunity to set up a committee under the chairmanship of the director of the prison medical service to review and monitor the therapeutic regime at Grendon. The committee, which will report to the director general
