Mr. Canavan

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many representations he has received about changes in the law about tax relief for charitable bodies; and whether he will list the names of the organisations and the individuals who have made such representations.

During the last four months my Treasury colleagues and I have received a total of 86 representations from individuals and organisations regarding changes in the law about tax relief for charitable bodies. There were 26 from individuals and 60 from the following organisations:
