asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on the prospects for the pulp, paper and board industry.

§ Mr. Kenneth Baker
In February the British Paper and Board Industry Federation said that 1984 is expected to be a reasonably good year for papermakers during which progress made in 1983 can be consolidated and further advanced. I have no reason to differ.
