§ Mr. Wareingasked the Minister for the Civil Service (1) if he will provide a breakdown of the universities from which serving staff have been recruited into the administration group of the Home Civil Service;
(2) if he will list the types of schools which serving staff of the administration group of the Home Civil Service attended.
§ Mr. HayhoeInformation about the educational background of serving members of the administration group of the Home Civil Service is not held centrally, and to collect it would involve disproportionate cost. However, since 1978 the Civil Service commissioners annual reports (copies of which are in the Library) have included some information about the school and university attended by entrants to the administration trainee grade. The relevant tables are:
