§ Mr. Giles ShawI am advised by the CEGB that nuclear generating capacity brought on stream in 1983 had a designed output capacity of 600 MW and it is estimated that a further 3100 MW will be brought on stream in 1984.
Actual capacity brought on stream in 1984 will be determined in the light of operating experience. It is not meaningful to consider these capacities in terms of estimated coal equavalent during plant commissioning and early operation.
