§ 41. Mr. Fatchettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the progress of his plans to privatise catering and cleaning services in National Health Service hospitals.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeRegional health authorities have been asked to submit summaries of districts' programmes 155W for competitive tendering for these services, and for laundry services, to our Department in April. We expect all districts to go out to tender for at least a part of the district's needs in one of these services by September and to finish tendering for all these services by September 1986.
