§ Mr. Wareingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, during his next visits to Liverpool, he will arrange to tour the 17 districts designated by the Liverpool city council as priority areas for housing and environmental development.
§ Mr. Patrick JenkinI am aware of the problems of these areas and I have had discussions about them with representatives of the city council. My Merseyside task force is engaged in discussions with officials of the council about the proposals for these areas. My hon. Friend the Minister for Housing and Construction has already undertaken to make a further visit to Liverpool's problem housing areas as soon as his present commitments permit.
