§ Mr. John PattenWe await the report of the expert panel set up by the Chief Medical Officer's Committee on Medical Aspects of Food Policy to consider the relationship between diet and cardiovascular disease and to make recommendations. In anticipation of the panel's report, MAFF and DHSS officials have held preliminary discussions with the Food and Drink Industries Council concerning the possibilities for establishing a voluntary code of practice for fat content labelling.
