Friend's question, the figures for Great Britain are that on average housing benefit costs £3 per worker per week, the National Health Service £13, social security in total £29, and the National Health Service and social security combined, including administration, £43.
These figures are based on Great Britain data for 1983–84, rounded to the nearest £1. Figures for Northern Ireland are not readily available in the form requested.
