§ Mr. Strangasked the Secretary of State for Energy if, further to the answer of 27 July 1983, Official Report, column 440, he will publish the amount and isotopic composition of all the plutonium produced by each of the Central Electricity Generating Board's nuclear stations in each year since 1971–72.
§ Mr. Giles ShawIn answer to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Erewash (Mr. Rost) on 27 July 1983, at column 439, I gave the rates of plutonium production and ranges of isotopic composition of plutonium produced in the fuel of the electricity generating boards' Magnox, advanced gas-cooled and pressurised water reactors when operating under typical current or design conditions. I am advised by the CEGB that the further detailed information requested could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
