asked the Secretary of State for Defence on what authority Mr. Bill Locke revealed in the 9 to 22 March issue of RAF News information which enables the Royal Air Force presence in the Falkland Islands to be deduced to be over 700 men; and if he will make a statement.

asked the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 20 March, Official Report, column 448, how much land the Falkland Islands Company offered to donate for the airport; and if he will make a statement.

At one stage in the negotiations the company considered donating the land value element but not the severance compensation element of the cost of 4,300 out of the total of some 8,300 acres required for the airfield.
