asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list his powers to levy income tax on the salaries of the United Kingdom-based employees of the Commission of the European Communities and of the European Assembly; and, if different powers relate to different grades and nationalities, respectively, if he will include the differences in those powers.

.(2) how many retirement pensioners are currently liable for tax; how many would be liable for tax if the age allowance were raised by 12.5 per cent.; and how many will be liable for tax if the age allowance is raised by the amount specified in the Budget statement.
