Physically Handicapped and Disabled People

Mr. Fisher

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many physically handicapped and disabled people are employed, in what position, in his Department; and what percentage of the total number of employees this represents.

Mr. Hayhoe

On 1 June 1983 the number of registered disabled persons employed by Her Majesty's Treasury was 59. This was 1.48 per cent. of the total number of employees at that date. The table sets out the breakdown by grade of the 59 registered disabled employees:
