Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many homes were provided by housing associations in Wales for each of the years 1979–80 until 1983–84; what is the predicted start number of such homes for 1984–85; what was the amount of cash made available to housing associations in Wales in 1982–83; and what is the expected cash for 1984–85 in real terms.

The amount of cash made available to housing associations in Wales was £44.9 million in 1982–83 and is expected to be around £39 million in 1984–85. Information requested relating to the provision of homes is given in the table.
