HC Deb 23 March 1984 vol 56 c607W
Mr. Corbyn

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many psychiatric beds are planned for Haringey, Islington and Camden health authorities to provide for the closure of Friern Barnet hospital;

(2) how much money will be provided to each district health authority to provide services to compensate for the closure of Friern Barnet hospital.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

The North-East Thames regional health authority and the district health authorities concerned are still considering plans for the proposed local reprovision of services currently provided at Friern and Claybury hospitals and decisions on bed numbers and revenue transfers have not yet been taken.
