Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the newly re-opened Elizabeth Garrett Anderson hospital is to include a unit from the Royal London homoeopathic hospital.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

Five beds and one outpatient session are available for gynaecological patients from the Royal London homoeopathic hospital.

Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services why it is no longer possible to staff the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson hospital for women with women.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I refer the hon. Member to my reply to him on 5 March at column452.

Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether his Department received copies of the literature for the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson hospital appeal which stated that the hospital would be staffed entirely by women doctors and women nurses.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

We have been unable to identify any literature received from the Appeals Trust which includes this statement.
