HC Deb 22 March 1984 vol 56 cc556-7W
Mr. Waller

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the latest figures for unemployed claimants in the Keighley jobcentre area, classified according to age, sex and duration of unemployment.

Mr. Alan Clark

The following is the information for 12 January, the latest date for which the analysis is available. The figures for males aged 60 and over are affected by the provisions announced in the 1983 Budget which meant that some men aged 60 and over no longer had to sign on in order to receive supplementary benefit or national insurance credits.
