HC Deb 21 March 1984 vol 56 c477W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment in what circumstances there are exceptions to the practice of Her Majesty's Government to regard the price of land agreed by private treaty with owners as confidential.

Sir George Young

[pursuant to his reply, 19 March 1984, c. 352]: I am not aware of any such exceptions in respect of acquisitions of land by the Ministry of Defence. Exceptions would be made only in respect of completed transactions and where the Government were satisfied that disclosure would not be prejudicial to current, or possible future, land negotiations.
