§ Mr. Nicholas Bakerasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he expects the committee of inquiry into events at Kincora and other children's homes in Northern Ireland to be appointed.
§ Mr. PriorThe committee of inquiry was formally appointed today under the powerss of article 54 and schedule 8 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972.
The inquiry will, as I announced in the House of Commons on 18 January, be chaired by Judge William Hughes. The other members of the inquiry are Mr. Harry Whalley and Mr. William Patterson.
