asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has held any discussions with the British Railways board about the construction of a rail link to Stansted airport; and if he will make a statement.

No. But I understand that the board is carrying out preparatory work so that a rail link could be provided in time in the event of our deciding that Stansted should be developed.
