HC Deb 19 March 1984 vol 56 c343W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs why Her Majesty's Government made representations to the Greek Government when President Papandreou joined with the President of Romania in signing a letter to the Soviet Union and the United States against the deployment of nuclear missiles in Europe by either the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation or the Warsaw Pact.

Mr. Luce

We regularly discuss NATO affairs, including the Alliance's nuclear defence and arms control policy, with the other allied Governments, bilaterally and at NATO meetings. Where we disagree with an allied Government's approach to NATO policy we tell them so, particularly when our interests are directly involved.
