§ Mr. Wareingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many Whitley council agreements have been made in Scotland in order to protect the rights of National Health Service employees following on its reorganisation in Scotland.
§ Mr. John MacKayThe General Whitley Council agreement "NHS Reorganisation—Protection of Pay and Terms and Conditions of Service" applies to Scotland and the wider interests of employees during reorganisation of the Scottish Health Service are also safeguarded by four other agreements concluded by the General Whitley Council. In addition, the Whitley Council's Scottish reorganisation sub-committee has reached understandings on a number of related matters.
