§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy that no alteration will be made to the existing public consultation and public inquiry system in so far as it affects those who live on the 70 miles of existing metropolitan roads proposed for designation as trunk roads, when subject to new roadbuilding and traffic management schemes.
§ Mrs. Chalker[pursuant to her reply, 9 March 1984, c. 718]: The arrangements for public consultation and inquiry into new construction or traffic management schemes will be no different on the roads I propose should become trunk roads from those which will apply on other trunk roads in Greater London.
