§ 23. Mr. Eggarasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is satisfied with the allocation of manpower and use of support systems within the Metropolitan police.
§ Mr. HurdWe are satisfied that the Commissioner is making every effort to get full value for the money spent on the Metropolitan police. His recent report to my right hon. and learned Friend shows the more purposeful use of manpower and other resources which he is achieving for example by redeploying officers to priority tasks and continuing the process of civilianisation.
