Mr. Wareing

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what jobs are being provided through retraining schemes, young workers' schemes, and other Manpower Services Commission schemes in the county of Merseyside and the Liverpool travel-to-work area in the current year; and at what cost.

I regret that the information is not available separately for the Liverpool travel-to-work area, other than for the young workers scheme, and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. The information, where available, is set out in the table.
