HC Deb 15 March 1984 vol 56 c272W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson hospital for women to re-open for inpatients.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I am glad to say that the first inpatients were admitted to the reopened hospital on 13 March 1984.

Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynacologists assessed the suitability of the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson hospital for teaching purposes.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I understand that the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists carried out its review of accreditation for medical training at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson in May 1983, when the hospital's inpatient facilities were in temporary accommodation at the National Temperance hospital.
