HC Deb 14 March 1984 vol 56 c180W
Mr. Weetch

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many unemployed workers' centres are being currently funded by the Manpower Services Commission; what is the aggregate cost of such centres; and if he will list the unemployed workers' centres currently receiving money from the Manpower Services Commission.

Mr. Peter Morrison

At the end of January, 83 centres for the unemployed were receiving support under the community programme at an annual cost of about £2.5 million. Information is held centrally only about the total number of particular types of projects and a list of individual centres cannot be provided immediately.

I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
