Mr. Peter Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many applications for the extradition of people wanted by the security forces, but living in the Irish Republic, have been turned down by the Republic's Government since 1970.

Extradition is a matter for the courts in the Republic of Ireland, which have rejected 48 applications connected with terrorist offences in relation to 46 individuals since 1970.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many applications have been made to the Government of the Irish Republic for the extradition of people wanted for questioning in relation to terrorist offences in Northern Ireland since 1970.

Since 1969, 105 arrest warrants in respect of 102 individuals have been forwarded by the Royal Ulster Constabulary to the Garda Siochana in connection with terrorist offences in Northern Ireland.
