HC Deb 14 March 1984 vol 56 cc147-8W
33. Mr. McQuarrie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from local authorities and nationalised industries in the Grampian region for additional financial aid due to the severe storms which have taken place in that area since Christmas.

Mr. Ancram

I have been informed by the convener of Grampian regional council that the council will be asking for special financial assistance towards abnormal expenditure incurred during the severe weather. A letter from the chief executive has indicated that details of the expenditure will be sent to my Department once the costs have been analysed.
