§ Mr. Amessasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps he has taken to set up a scheme of pilot projects on records of achievements for all school leavers.
§ Mr. DunnThe Department of Education and Science and the Welsh Office published last November a draft policy statement which proposed the setting up of some pilot schemes. Subject to passage of the Education (Grants and Awards) Bill, my right hon. Friends will shortly be consulting the local authority associations about this possibility and hope to be in a position by the middle of this year to invite local education authorities to submit bids for such schemes.
