Mr. William Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) when instructions were given to remove the explosives sniffers from Magilligan prison; why they were returned; and if he will make a statement;

(2) during what periods since 1 January 1983 dogs trained to detect explosives were actually used in Her Majesty's prison, Magilligan;

(3) during what periods since 1 January 1983 equipment designed to detect explosives was actually in Her Majesty's prison, Maze;

(4) during what periods since 1 January 1983 dogs trained to detect explosives were actually used in Her Majesty's prison, Maze;

(5) during what periods since 1 January 1983 equipment designed to detect explosives was actually used in Her Majesty's prison, Magilligan;
