HC Deb 13 March 1984 vol 56 cc121-2W
Mr. Hooson

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish in the Official Report the forward planning figures for local authority current and net capital expenditure, by service, for 1985–86 and 1986–87 and also the assumptions for housing and other capital receipts for the same years.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

The information requested on current and net capital expenditure is as follows. The level of capital receipts accruing in each year is difficult to predict to any great degree of accuracy. However, the working assumptions for 1985–86 and 1986–87 are that housing receipts will amount to £77 million and £73 million, respectively, with other capital receipts remaining broadly at £11 million in each year. These assumptions are provisional and inevitably subject to revision in the light of later information.
