asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list, for each port of entry, the amount of coal imported from Poland in 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983.

In 1983, the imports of coal from Poland have supplied under ½ per cent. of total United Kingdom requirements and have been delivered as indicated in the table following.

Most of the coal (80 per cent. in 1983) has been high quality coking coal for the British Steel Corporation.
