HC Deb 12 March 1984 vol 56 c11W
Mr. Millan

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what are the obligations of the subsidiary companies of British Shipbuilders in relation to the preparation of accounts and the lodging of accounts with the registrar of companies.

Mr. Butcher

The subsidiary companies of British Shipbuilders are bound by the requirements of the Companies Acts 1948 to 1981. As required by the Aircraft and Shipbuilding Industries Act 1977, the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry receives copies of these accounts. Copies are also placed in the Library of the House.
