Mr. Ron Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will consider increasing the level of grant available for the development of voluntary service in Mid-Glamorgan to the 20 per capita average received by other Welsh countries.

The nature of the communities throughout Wales and their voluntary structures vary so much that it would be inappropriate to calculate the level of grant on the basis suggested by the hon. Gentleman.
