asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the cost to the Exchequer of relieving the owners of cars purchased under the motability scheme from car tax.

It is estimated that the cost of relieving cars currently purchased under the motability scheme from car tax, allowing for the reduced revenue from VAT, would be up to £3 million a year.
